Puppet Theater

We're slowly recovering from Christmas here - getting the house back in order and finding new homes for all the toys.  I wanted to pop in and share with you one of the last-minute Christmas gifts I made for the kiddos!  This little puppet theater was definitely my favorite thing I made for the holidays and it was an instant hit with the kids.

The basic theater came from Oliver + S, "Little Things To Sew".  I used a dark brown canvas for the main portion of the theater and added some colorful, fun bunting!  I didn't think I'd have any time to make puppets before Christmas, so I picked up a nice assortment at IKEA.

The puppet theater is held in place in a doorway by a tension rod, so it's easily taken down and stored.  I think I may need to make a little drawstring bag for it to keep it tidy when it's not in use.

Although it may be up for a little while, the kids seem to be enjoying it far to much right now.

  1. This is so great! I love the idea of putting in a doorway with a tension rod. Pinning this one for the future!

  4. Love this so much!!!! I'd been thinking of doing a doorway puppet theater, but I haven't seen anything quite as cute as yours. The bunting and colors are great.
