The Minneapolis Modern Quilt Guild (MMQG) frequently does charity sewing projects and I was able to help out with the last one and make these pretty flying geese blocks. They will be combined with many other flying geese blocks made by other MMQG members to make one large quilt for charity.
The blocks were made from pieces of clothing. Some of the clothing had embroidered details on them — I received one of those pieces and incorporated it into my blocks. The seams that went through the embroidery were a little bulky, but it worked.
I can’t wait to see what the finished quilt looks like. Watch the MMQG blog to find out.
